Firefox Optimized

Q: Will Mozilla Firefox or Mozilla Thunderbird run on Windows 95 or other older versions of Windows? A: Yes, Firefox and Thunderbird will run on Windows 95, under the condition that you have appropriate system files installed. All Mozilla products (including Mozilla application suite, Firefox, and Thunderbird) since mid-2003 require version 2.30.4265 or greater of the system file OLEAUT32.DLL to run; this is implemented in either the Windows Library Update or Visual Basic 6.0 run-time files. Finally, it is possible that you may need to update still other files (such as OLE32.DLL) in order to run Mozilla Firefox (or Thunderbird) on pre-OSR 2.x versions of Windows 95; the DCOM95.EXE update is desirable in these cases.

Circuits

A demo [ c i r c u i t s ] which is not particularly useful for anything, but was fun to try to figure out how to do. Inspired by Ivan Bueno's Wireframe designs, which awed me when I first saw them a couple of years ago. He has added to the collection since then, and the site is well worth a look if you're interested in absolutely positioned boxes.

Opacity has been applied to the smaller boxes. Firefox users will notice that the opacity changes on hover. This creates a nice little effect like activating circuits. Opera doesn't support opacity and shows the full color of the boxes.

Internet Explorer users won't see much opacity. I'm including a separate stylesheet for IE 7 which will support hover effects on non-link items. However, this design as it stands is buggy in IE when opacity is applied to the mini-boxes.

I'll probably update this design as time goes along. I'm thinking of trying to apply the hover effect to a:focus.
